UNSTABLE HORIZON | WARFACE combines light, image and sound in a way that ultimately seems almost cinematic. In synergy with a minimalist light object and a live video layer, the ensemble traces a possible horizon. That line at the end of a wide open space that is visible only when the field of vision is unobstructed. In the veritable flood of excessive demands that blur our everyday lives and make many of our decisions uncertain, this view of the horizon is blocked, blurred, clouded. The sound and visual arrangement refers to this complex state of uncertainty and finds its climax with a ‚media-theatre of war‘ – a reality that has crept into our everyday lives step by step during the process of developing the piece.
